Bryan Steil, U.S. Congressman representing Wisconsin’s 1st district since 2019, posted several updates on his social media account on April 14, 2026, detailing ongoing actions and communications in Congress.

In a post at 16:13 UTC, Steil announced a joint action with colleagues Jim Jordan and Rep. James Comer: “BREAKING! I just sent a letter with @Jim_Jordan and @RepJamesComer demanding documents from @ActBlue. All options are on the table to compel compliance with our subpoenas.” This statement indicates an escalation in efforts to obtain information from ActBlue.

Later that day at 16:38 UTC, Steil provided a brief update about ongoing efforts: “Our work continues”.

At 20:00 UTC, Steil shifted tone with a lighter comment referencing Culver’s and the President of the United States: “When can we get some @culvers to @POTUS ???”

Steil has represented Wisconsin’s 1st congressional district since succeeding Paul Ryan in 2019. He has secured re-election multiple times, defeating Peter Barca in the 2024 general election by earning approximately 54% of the vote. Previous victories include wins over Ann Roe in 2022, Roger Polack in 2020, and Randy Bryce in 2018.
