Bryan Steil, U.S. Congressman representing Wisconsin’s 1st district since 2019, shared updates on his recent activities through a series of posts on his Twitter account in early May 2026.
On May 1, Steil wrote that he had “Joined @POTUS in the White House yesterday to expand access to retirement savings options.” He encouraged followers to click a provided link for more information. In a follow-up post on the same day, Steil added, “For more information visit: https://t.co/qla9HgZVR6”.
The next day, May 2, Steil congratulated a local student for her achievement in an annual art contest. He posted, “Congratulations to this year’s Congressional Art Competition winner, Isabella from Westosha Central High School, for her entry titled, ‘Beauty Doesn’t Have to Have Color.’ Excited to see her work hanging in the Capitol! below for some of this year’s recognized participants.”
Steil has represented Wisconsin’s 1st congressional district since succeeding Paul Ryan in 2019 and has consistently secured re-election. In the most recent general election of 2024, he defeated Peter Barca with 54% of the vote. Previous victories include defeating Ann Roe in 2022 with a similar margin and winning against Roger Polack and Randy Bryce in earlier elections.
