Bryan Steil, U.S. Congressman representing Wisconsin’s 1st district since 2019, posted a series of messages on his social media accounts highlighting recent legislative reforms and commemorating Holocaust victims.
On April 13, 2026, Steil shared his support for Republican-led tax reforms, stating, “Even the NY Times agrees – Republican reforms are delivering for American families! $6,000 senior deduction Reduced tax on tips and overtime Enhanced standard deduction https://t.co/GuAAiZ9oDh”. He followed this post with another tweet containing only a link: “https://t.co/6bU0tPD0HO”.
The next day, April 14, 2026, Steil addressed Holocaust Remembrance Day. He wrote, “Today, we remember the six million Jewish lives taken during the Holocaust and honor the survivors. We must commit ourselves to standing up to antisemitism and ensure no such atrocity occurs again. https://t.co/8Cc4Ir0bL2”.
Steil has held his seat in Congress since succeeding Paul Ryan in 2019. He has won multiple elections representing Wisconsin’s 1st District: defeating Randy Bryce in 2018 with 54.6% of the vote; Roger Polack in 2020 with 59.3%; Ann Roe in 2022 with 54.1%; and Peter Barca in 2024 with 54%.
