City of Janesville issued the following announcement on October 12.
Due to technological issues that emerged with hosting hybrid (in-person and virtual) City Council meetings, effective Monday, October 12, 2020, Janesville City Council meetings will be held in a virtual-only format. The City Council will use Microsoft Teams to hold their meeting. The public will continue to have the ability to watch the meeting live on the City’s website at www.ci.janesville.wi.us/materials or on JATV, cable channel 994.
Opportunities for Public Comment:
Members of the public who wish to offer comments during scheduled public hearings or during the public comments portion of the meeting continue to have two opportunities to do so:
Submit written comments in advance by completing a public comment form and sending them to the City Clerk-Treasurer by 10 a.m. on the day prior to the City Council meeting: Public Comment Form
Report to the fourth floor of City Hall (18 North Jackson Street) during the meeting time. A computer will be provided to allow public comments during the live meeting. Members of the public who attend to speak from City Hall will have a socially-distanced location to view the remainder of the meeting if desired. Masks are required in City Hall.
