City of Monroe issued the following announcement on Jan. 26.
March 15th
Deadline for Clerk to mail any valid absentee ballots requests on file, residents can expect to see absentee ballots in their mailbox between March 15-18th. (Residents can request an absentee ballot be mailed through April 1st, but is recommended to place the request sooner to allow ample time for mail delivery.)
March 16th
Final day to update voter registration online or by mail. After March 16th, you can register in person at City Hall or on election day.
March 22-31st
In-person Absentee voting hours are available at the Clerk's Office located in City Hall (1110 18th Ave) from 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM. March 28th - hours extended until 4:30 PM.
April 1st
Deadline for write-in candidates to submit a registration statement to be registered write-in candidate.
