City of Janesville issued the following announcement on April 22.
After conducting an extensive search, the City of Janesville has selected three finalists to interview for the position of Public Works Director. These candidates are:
Christina Betz, Public Works Director, City of Woodstock, Ill.
Michael Payne, City Engineer, City of Janesville, Wis.
Rebecca Smith, Transit Director, City of Janesville, Wis.
The City now invites the community to a candidate reception on Wednesday, April 27 at 4:30 p.m. at the Rotary Botanical Gardens. Community members will be able to meet the finalists, ask questions, and, if interested, provide input to the City's Hiring Committee. No entrance fee will be charged to attendees, who are welcome to tour the gardens during the reception. Light refreshments will also be available.
