13% of households in Janesville received food stamps in 2020

Janesville ranked 300th in Wisconsin for the percentage of households receiving food stamps in 2020, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

There were 3,553 Janesville households (13 percent) who received food stamps. Janesville's population was 64,415 in 2020.

The city with the largest percentage of households receiving food stamps in the state was Birch Hill, which had 38 of 65 households receiving food stamps, 45.5 percent more than Janesville. In 2020 the population of Birch Hill was 206.

The city with the lowest percentage of households receiving food stamps in the state was Fox Point, which had four of 3,055 households receiving food stamps, 12.9 percent less than Janesville. In 2020 the population of Fox Point was 6,623.
