The City of Janesville has hired Globe Contractors to replace public side lead water services throughout Janesville.
As a part of this replacement, temporary water shutoffs will occur to facilitate work. Contractors will notify affected customers with a door hanger 24 hours prior to work being started. Water shutoffs are estimated to be less than four hours in length.
During the week of July 10, the following locations are anticipated to see temporary water service interruptions while this work is being completed.
- Riverside Street from South Jackson Street to east end of Riverside Street*
- South Franklin Street from Wilson Avenue to Rock Street**
- South Franklin Street from Rockport Road to Wilson Avenue*
**Open to local traffic only during the construction process and will resume normal traffic upon completion of service replacements on the day of operations.
