The City of Janesville Recreation Division is excited to host the Janesville Kids Triathlon on Saturday, August 26. The event for children ages seven to twelve provides young participants with their first experience with multisport racing. The race includes:

• A 40-meter swim
• A two-and-a-half-mile bike
• A half-mile run

The racecourse will use Rockport Park (2801 Rockport Rd.), utilizing the Rockport Pool and Peace Park Trail. While the fastest participants in each age group will receive an award, the Recreation Division does not structure this event as a highly competitive race. 

Online registration is now open on the event's website. Registration ends on August 25, and no on-site registration will be accepted. The Recreation Division encourages early registration, as event cancellation will occur if minimum enrollment is not met by August 4. All participants registered before August 4 will receive a free t-shirt. 

Race packets will be available for pick-up on Friday, August 25, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Peace Park Pavilion (2801 Rockport Rd.). Race day check-in will run from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 26. The race will begin at 9 a.m.
