The City of Janesville Operations Division provides residents with sand to keep their sidewalks safe during winter.
The sand stockpile is located in the parking lot of Dawson Field (920 Beloit Avenue) and is now available to the public. Please note the sand is available only to City of Janesville residents for snow and ice control use. The City asks the public to respect the limited quantity of sand and take only the amount they need for treating their sidewalks this winter. Citizens should bring their own containers and shovels when visiting the pile.
