Janesville residents and non-residents alike will soon have the opportunity to reserve pavilions and picnic groves in City parks for their upcoming events in 2024. The City of Janesville Parks & Recreation Divisions has announced that they will begin accepting reservations on January 2 for residents and January 8 for non-residents.

According to the announcement, there are a total of twelve pavilions and ten picnic groves available for rent. These spaces can be utilized for a variety of events such as family reunions, birthdays, graduations, showers, or any other special occasion.

Residents of Janesville, defined as individuals living or owning property within the city limits, will have the first opportunity to make their reservations. Non-residents will be able to make their reservations starting on January 8. Both residents and non-residents will have the option to make reservations online at the same time.

The available reservation dates span from April 15 to October 15, providing ample opportunities for individuals to plan their events during the warmer months. The fees for reservations will vary depending on factors such as the size of the pavilion or picnic grove, residency status, and location.

To secure a reservation, individuals must make their reservation a minimum of five business days in advance and pay the full fee at the time of booking. It is important to note that no telephone reservations will be accepted.

In the event that a reservation needs to be canceled, individuals must do so at least three days prior to the reservation date to avoid forfeiting the reservation fee. However, it is important to be aware that a $10 cancellation fee will be applied to all reservation cancellations.
