The City of Janesville is inviting qualified contractors to submit proposals for the construction of pickleball courts at Riverside Park. The project will involve the installation of six (6) lighted courts with fencing. The purpose of this initiative is to enhance recreational opportunities for residents and promote an active lifestyle.

In order to proceed with this project, the City is seeking Request for Proposals (RFPs) from contractors who can provide professional services for the development of the pickleball courts. This includes preparing and submitting qualifications for the preliminary design, final design, construction documents, and project management services.

Interested contractors are encouraged to submit their proposals by 4:30 p.m. CST on January 31, 2024. The City is looking for contractors with expertise in recreational facility development and construction to ensure the successful completion of this project.

To access the RFP documents and detailed information about the project requirements, interested parties can visit the RFP posting on the City's website. Any questions or clarifications regarding the RFP can be directed to Cullen Slapak, the Parks Director, who can be reached at slapakc@ci.janesville.wi.us or (608) 373-3406.

The addition of pickleball courts at Riverside Park will provide a dedicated space for residents to engage in this popular and fast-growing sport. Pickleball has gained significant popularity in recent years, attracting people of all ages and skill levels. With the installation of lighted courts, players will be able to enjoy the game even during evening hours.

According to Parks Director Cullen Slapak, "We are excited about this project and the positive impact it will have on our community. The pickleball courts will offer a new recreational opportunity for our residents and enhance the overall appeal of Riverside Park."

The City of Janesville is committed to promoting an active and healthy lifestyle for its residents. The addition of pickleball courts at Riverside Park aligns with this vision and will further contribute to the city's vibrant recreational amenities.

Residents and pickleball enthusiasts are encouraged to stay updated on the progress of this project through the City's website and official communication channels. The City is dedicated to ensuring transparency and engaging the community throughout the development and construction process.

With the deadline for proposals approaching, interested contractors are urged to review the RFP documents carefully and submit their qualifications in a timely manner. The City looks forward to receiving competitive proposals from qualified contractors and ultimately selecting a partner who will help bring this exciting project to fruition.
