The Hedberg Public Library and the City of Janesville have announced Eric Robinson as the next Library Director, effective May 13, 2024. Dr. Patty Hernandez, President of the Hedberg Public Library Board of Trustees, expressed excitement about Robinson's appointment, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome Eric Robinson as our new Library Director. His proven track record of leadership, dedication to promoting literacy, and commitment to serving the community make him the ideal candidate to lead our library forward."

Robinson, who previously served as the Library Director at Dwight Foster Public Library in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, is eager to bring his experience and passion for community engagement to his new role. He expressed his enthusiasm by saying, "I am truly honored to have been chosen for this role and am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. I am eager to bring my skills, experience, and passion to the team, working alongside each of you and the librarians to achieve our collective goals."

With a Masters in Library and Information Science from UW-Madison, Robinson is committed to building upon the foundation laid by his predecessors. He looks forward to collaborating with the team at HPL to expand access to resources, enhance services, promote literacy, and foster a culture of lifelong learning and discovery.
