During the resurfacing process, streets will be posted "NO PARKING" from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Residents who park on the street overnight should move their vehicles early in the morning.
The first step involves milling or grinding off the old street surface, during which traffic can still drive on the street and residents can access their driveways with caution and minor delays expected.
Asphalt paving follows this initial removal process, preceded by applying a sticky liquid tack coat known as "FRESH OIL." Traffic is discouraged from driving on this material if avoidable due to its tendency to adhere strongly and cause difficulties in removal from vehicles and other surfaces.
The asphalt paving process will begin shortly after applying "FRESH OIL." During active paving operations, residents may be unable to leave their driveways temporarily and are advised to park outside the project area if necessary for access concerns.
Paving is expected to be completed within one day per street segment and can be driven on that evening. However, all activities are weather-dependent and may be postponed due to rain.
