The American Water Works Association (AWWA) has announced the City of Janesville as the winner of the 2024 People’s Choice Water Taste Test. The competition was held during AWWA’s Annual Conference and Exposition (ACE24) and featured regional winners from water-tasting competitions earlier in the year. The City of Janesville was selected as the winner by over 11,000 conference attendees.

"Our staff works hard to make sure we are providing a safe and reliable water source to the residents of our community and the best tasting water, according to not only people here in Wisconsin, but to people all over the country," Utility Director Dave Botts stated.

The Janesville Water Utility works daily to provide a safe, uninterruptible supply of drinking water. The water supply is tested continuously to ensure it is safe and meets or exceeds all state, local, and federal requirements.

For more information, contact Janesville Water Utility at (608) 755-3115.
