Janesville schedules press conference following tornado damage

On the evening of Saturday, June 22, a reported tornado touched down on the south side of the City of Janesville. This weather event caused considerable damage to structures and infrastructure in the area.

The City of Janesville has activated its Emergency Operations Center to mobilize response resources. The City will hold a press conference on Sunday, June 23, at 11 a.m. in the Conference Room of the Janesville Police Department (100 North Jackson Street) to update the community on its response.

As a note, a majority of the City Council may be present at the conference.
