On Sunday, July 21, Riverside Golf Course marked its 100th anniversary with a day of golf and a special open house. Attendees participated in various activities, including a bags tournament, putting contest, and live music.
Since its establishment in 1924, Riverside Golf Course has consistently been recognized as one of Southern Wisconsin's premier public golf courses. It received a 3.5 out of 4-star rating from Golf Digest and was listed among the top 50 best values in public golf nationwide. Earlier this year, NBC GolfPass ranked it as the sixth friendliest public course in the nation.
"For the last 13 years, KemperSports has been honored to work with the City of Janesville to manage Riverside and Blackhawk Golf Courses," said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. "Our shared vision for providing an unsurpassed public golf experience for Janesville residents will lead Riverside into its next 100 years."
Riverside Golf Course is situated near the scenic Rock River and offers daily tee times from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
