WASHINGTON (August 2, 2024) - Congressman Bryan Steil (WI-01) and Congressman Scott Fitzgerald (WI-05) have requested that Rock River Community Clinic (RRCC) be considered for a grant opportunity to help sustain, expand, and advance primary health care access in the community.

The congressmen expressed support for RRCC’s New Access Point application to become a Federally Funded Health Center (H80). The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is responsible for vetting applications and determining the distribution of this funding.

Excerpts from the letter include:

“The RRCC serves as a critical access point for affordable, high-quality health care in Jefferson County and parts of Walworth and Dodge Counties. The RRCC serves as an access point to medical, dental, and behavioral health services to the over 23,000 low-income residents across their 13 zip codes, resulting in quality care and cost-savings for the entire rural community."

“The clinic’s patients range from dairy farmers, agricultural workers, factory workers, childcare providers, members of the food and service industry, construction workers, and trade workers. Over 95% of their patients are below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL).”
