City of Monroe issued the following announcement on March 23.
While sprucing up your yard this spring, please refrain from placing any yard waste in curblines. Curblines blocked by yard waste can lead to storm drains clogging, flooding, obstructing street sweeper routes, interfering with road projects, and violating city code.
The free yard waste drop-off center will open on April 1st and be available for use Monday-Friday from 6:00 am - 6:00 pm. The drop-off center is located at 1064 5th Avenue and only available to Monroe residents.
