4.5% of Rock County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Rock County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.5% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 3,812 people out of the 163,522 living in Rock County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Rock County has remained fairly stable compared to the 4.5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Rock County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.5%.

Of the 81,173 people who had a job during that time, 61 were employed in the Armed Forces and 81,112 belonged to the civilian labor force.
