City Of Janesville issued the following announcement on May 26.
The Janesville Transit System (JTS) is pleased to remind middle and high school riders and their parents of the Summer Pass Program.
The summer pass is a tamper-proof hologram sticker students may affix to the backside of their school identification card. The pass costs $75 per student and provides unlimited rides on all JTS in-city routes during the summer.
For the summer of 2022, the pass is valid from June 4 to August 31. The program provides transportation for students looking to get to and from employment, recreation locations, and other summertime destinations in Janesville. Student riders may use the pass during the day, in the evening, or on the weekends. Families not interested in purchasing a summer pass may continue to use youth tokens for middle or high school students taking trips with JTS.
Both summer passes and youth tokens are available to purchase at middle and high schools and the JTS office (101 Black Bridge Rd.).
Additional details on the JTS summer pass program and youth token program are available on the City's website.
