The City of Janesville Recreation Division invites you to get in the Thanksgiving spirit with the Fall Scavenger Hunt starting November 6.
The festive scavenger hunt along the Ice Age National Scenic Trail begins near the Burr Robbins Circus Historical Marker at Dawson Softball Complex (920 Beloit Avenue) and ends on the other side of the pedestrian bridge, however, you can start at either end. Hunters will look for nine unique signs featuring fall festive images with a particular letter. After finding all the letters, participants can descramble the letters into a festive secret word.
Once identified, the special word can be sent to the Janesville Parks & Recreation Facebook page or by e-mail to recreationmail@ci.janesville.wi.us, along with a picture of participants enjoying the Fall Scavenger Hunt. All scavenger hunters who submit the phrase before November 30 will enter a drawing to win a prize basket. The Recreation Division will randomly select one winner from all the correct submissions.
