Edison Middle School in Janesville, Wisconsin, regretfully announced the cancellation of the highly anticipated Rec Nite scheduled for tonight, January 12. The decision was made due to the inclement weather conditions that have been affecting the area. Unfortunately, there will be no makeup day scheduled for this event.

Rec Nite is a popular program that offers an evening of fun and entertainment for sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade students. Attendees can enjoy a variety of activities, including swimming, dancing, open gym, table games, prize raffles, and more. The event typically runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. with an admission fee of $7. Additionally, concessions are available for purchase, adding to the overall enjoyment of the evening.

Despite the disappointment caused by the cancellation, students and parents can look forward to the next Rec Nite, which is scheduled to take place on Friday, January 26. However, it is important to note that this event will be held at Marshall Middle School, as the pool at Edison Middle School will be closed during that time.

In case of any inquiries or for more information, the Recreation Division can be contacted at (608) 755-3030. Additionally, interested individuals can visit the official website at https://bit.ly/3tHoyWB for further details regarding the program.

While the cancellation of tonight's Rec Nite may be disappointing, the safety and well-being of the students and participants are of utmost importance to the organizers. As the weather conditions improve, it is hoped that future events will proceed as planned, providing a memorable and enjoyable experience for all.
