The City of Janesville is urging residents to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming 2024 Spring Primary Election. The election is set to take place on Tuesday, February 20. On Election Day, February 20, there will be two polling locations open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Each location will have a specific contest on the ballot. The Central Christian Church, located at 4224 Whilden Ct., will be open for wards 32, 33, and 36. Voters in these wards will be participating in a primary for County Board Supervisory District 22. The top two vote-getters from this primary will advance to the ballot on April 2, 2024.
The second polling location, the Dr. Daniel H William Rock County Resource Center at 1717 Center Ave, will be open for wards 13, 14, and 16. Voters in these wards will be participating in a primary for County Board Supervisory District 27. Similar to the first location, the top two vote-getters from this primary will face off on the April 2, 2024, ballot.
For those who are unable to vote on Election Day, in-person absentee voting will begin on Tuesday, February 6, at City Hall (18 N. Jackson St.) on the 2nd floor. This option will be available on weekdays until Friday, February 16, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
To ensure the integrity of the election process, there will be a test of election equipment on Monday, February 12th, at 9 a.m. This test will take place on the first floor of City Hall and is open to the public.
