The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) has announced a public information meeting to address the upcoming Center Avenue construction project. Scheduled for Thursday, March 14, the meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the Rock County Resource Center, specifically in Room J1020 located at 1717 Center Ave.

According to WisDOT, the construction project on Center Avenue, which is US Highway 51, will cover the stretch between Nicolet Street and E. Court Street. The extensive project will involve various improvements such as new concrete pavement, curb and gutter installations, driveway aprons, sidewalk enhancements, bridge rehabilitation, storm sewer upgrades, water main installations, street lighting improvements, and traffic signal upgrades. The commencement of the construction work is tentatively set to begin in late March.

During the public meeting, the project team plans to provide details on construction operations, closures, detour routes, local access points, project timelines, and other relevant information. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend to get a comprehensive overview of the upcoming project.

For those seeking further information on the Center Avenue construction project, WisDOT advises visiting the WisDOT Project Page. Additionally, individuals can request to be included in a distribution list for weekly construction updates, including progress reports and upcoming operations, by sending their email address to Colten Tuescher at ctuescher@rhbatterman.com.

The public information meeting serves as a crucial platform for residents and stakeholders to engage with the project team, understand the scope of the construction work, and address any concerns or queries related to the Center Avenue project.
