The City of Janesville has announced Ryan Murphy as the sole finalist for the position of Fire Chief, pending his acceptance of an offer letter from the City. The decision was made by the Police and Fire Commission following a nationwide recruitment and thorough selection process.
Mark Terry, Chairman of the Police and Fire Commission, expressed his thoughts on the selection, stating, "On behalf of the Police and Fire Commission, it was an honor and privilege to be part of the process to find the next Fire Chief for Janesville."
Ryan Murphy, currently serving as Battalion Chief for the City of Janesville Fire Department, shared his gratitude and enthusiasm for the opportunity, saying, "The Janesville Fire Department has a long history of providing exceptional emergency services, and I am honored to be chosen as the next Fire Chief."
The City Manager, Kevin Lahner, also commented on the appointment of Ryan Murphy, stating, "We are excited to have Mr. Murphy named as the next Fire Chief for the City of Janesville.
