Most City facilities in Janesville will be closed on Monday, May 27, for the Memorial Day holiday. These closures include City Hall, the City Services Center, Fire Administration, the Ice Arena, JTS Administration, Oak Hill Cemetery Office, Police Administration, Sanitary & Demolition Landfills, the Senior Center, and Water & Wastewater Utility Offices.
Trash and recycling collection will not take place on Monday. Collection regularly scheduled for Monday will occur on Tuesday. All remaining trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day during this week only, with Friday's collection completed on Saturday, June 1. The regular collection schedule will resume Monday, June 3. Residents are reminded to have their trash and recycling carts at the curb by 7 a.m. on the day of collection per City Ordinance.
The Janesville Transit System (JTS) services will also not operate on Monday. Regular service will resume on Tuesday.
