The City of Janesville Recreation Division, in collaboration with Hedberg Public Library and the School District of Janesville, is presenting “A Park Connects Us” by Sarah Nelson as the Summer StoryWalk® at the Robert O. Cook Memorial Arboretum (3550 W. County Hwy. A).

This picture book invites readers to explore a city park and discover how shared green spaces bring people together. The text highlights the benefits offered by parks, while vibrant mixed-media illustrations depict a diverse group of visitors enjoying the communal space.

The story is displayed page-by-page on signposts along an approximately half-mile loop on the Jolyn Beeman Trail and will be available until September 22.

The StoryWalk® program aims to promote early literacy, physical activity, and family time in nature. This initiative is supported by a grant from American Family Insurance.

For further inquiries, contact the Recreation Division at (608) 755-3030.
