Hedberg Public Library's Teen Central has introduced an exciting new reading initiative called "100 Books Before Graduation" aimed at teenagers in grades 9-12. Through this program, teens can read and track their progress online using the Beanstack app, earning milestone prizes along the way. In addition, they have the opportunity to participate in fun challenges that enter them into additional prize drawings. The ultimate objective is for these young readers to complete 100 books before they graduate and receive a grand prize.

"We hope this challenge encourages teens to continue reading, not just for grades or assignments, but for the sheer joy of it," states Gabrielle Draxler, HPL's Young Adult Librarian. "The program's milestones and challenges offer various avenues to explore reading, connect with others in the community, and cultivate a lifelong love for books."

The "100 Books Before Graduation" program is made possible through the support of the Friends of Hedberg Public Library and the Institute of Museum and Library Services. These organizations recognize the importance of promoting literacy and fostering a love of reading among young adults.

To participate in this exciting reading challenge, interested teens can register online by clicking here or visit the library's Teen Central for more information.
