The City of Janesville Compost & Clean Fill Facility will officially open for the year on Monday, March 18, 2024. The site will be open from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday. The Compost & Clean Fill Facility is located off Black Bridge Road just east of Highway 51. All vehicles must check in with the attendant before using the site.

"Grass, leaves, and garden debris may be deposited into the compost site at no charge to the City of Janesville residents (please remember to bring an ID for verification)."

"A per cubic yard fee applies to items that must be deposited into the Clean Fill Facility, including brush, branches, trees, stumps, wood chips, and approved construction debris such as untreated and unpainted bricks, concrete, and lumber."
