The City of Janesville has announced its plans to host a Volunteer Appreciation and Awards Ceremony on Thursday, April 25, at 3:30 p.m. in the Program Room at the Hedberg Public Library. The event aims to recognize the significant contributions of volunteers to the City and the community.
According to a statement from the city, the program will include various segments such as an introduction, an overview of the importance of volunteers, and the acknowledgment of over 600 volunteers who assist the City in fulfilling its mission. The highlight of the ceremony will be the presentation of the City's Volunteer of the Year Awards.
These awards will be distributed in four categories, which are the Administrative Volunteer of the Year, Library Volunteer of the Year, Parks and Recreation Volunteer of the Year, and Public Safety Volunteer of the Year. Additionally, a special recognition known as the Park Place Partner award will be presented to an individual for their exceptional volunteer partnership and efforts with the City.
The City of Janesville encourages the public to attend the ceremony and join in recognizing the positive impact that volunteers have on the City and the community.
