Wisconsin Community Media (WCM) has recognized JATV Media, Janesville's local access television station, with an Excellence Award for their program "Tales of Adventure." The award was presented as part of the 2024 Best of the Midwest Media Fest, celebrating the efforts of local media centers in providing quality programming.

The JATV Media team, including Station Manager Alan Luckett, Production Coordinator Tina Breeze Wahlers, Production Assistant Bujar Sadiku, and Producers Teresa Nguyen & Frank Schultz, will be honored at the 2024 Midwest Media Fest Banquet and Show on Thursday, May 16 for their outstanding work on "Tales of Adventure."

According to WCM, the award signifies that "Tales of Adventure" was acknowledged as one of the top programs submitted this year. The show, produced by Janesville Area Stories, JATV Media Services, Frank Schultz, and the team at JPAC, showcases the extraordinary courage of local individuals through storytelling, video interviews, original songs, dance, and skits.

In addition to their award-winning program, JATV Media is set to unveil their latest production titled "Tales of Our Heritage." This new program will explore the history of seven diverse groups in Rock County through storytelling, original songs, video interviews, photography, skits, and dance groups. The show is scheduled to take place on April 12 and 13 at 7 p.m. and April 14 at 2 p.m. at the Janesville Performing Arts Center, with tickets available on the Janesville Performing Arts website.
