Six candidates have been confirmed for the upcoming Janesville Board of Education election, scheduled for April 1, 2025. The School District of Janesville announced that all candidates submitted their declarations and necessary documents by the January 7 deadline. The paperwork review showed that each candidate collected enough qualifying signatures to be eligible.

The current board members James (Jim) Millard and Cathy Myers declared non-candidacy in December, leaving three seats open. With six candidates running for these positions, no primary election will take place in February.

The district clerk has certified the following individuals as eligible candidates for the election: Tyra Johnson, Colton Measner, Cory James, Julie Richardson, Michele Haworth (incumbent), and Victoria Hereford. Their names will appear on the ballot in a randomly selected order.

The election will coincide with other state and local races. Voters can find information about elections, registration, or polling locations on the Wisconsin Elections Commission website or through Rock County Clerk’s election information site.
