CITY OF JANESVILLE: City Council Meeting Rescheduled for September 30

City of Janesville issued the following announcement on Sept 29

Due to the cancellation of the September 28, 2020 meeting, Janesville’s City Council will convene at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2020. The meeting will be held in a hybrid format, with public access in the Council Chambers of City Hall (18 N. Jackson St.). The meeting can also be viewed live on the City’s website or on cable channel 994.

Please find the City Council’s meeting agenda at this link. The September 30 meeting agenda contains the items that were scheduled for the Council’s September 28 meeting, with the exception of the following, which are scheduled to occur on October 26:

Second reading and public hearing on a proposed ordinance rezoning portions of property located at 1700 and 1800 South River Road from R3M to R3; and from R1 to R3M

Second reading and public hearing on a proposed ordinance rezoning property located at 4245 Fox Hills Court from B4, Business Highway District, to O1, Office/Residence District

Second reading and public hearing on a proposed ordinance rezoning property located at 1901 Reuther Way from M2 to BT and property located at 1900 Reuther Way from M2, R1, and B3 to BT with Parking Overlay

Public comments may be submitted by sending a completed public comment form to City Clerk-Treasurer Dave Godek by 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30.

The September 28 meeting was cancelled unexpectedly due to issues with Microsoft Teams, which the City uses to execute secure governmental meetings in a virtual format. Microsoft reported nationwide outages with Microsoft Office 365 and other services on September 28 beginning at about 5 p.m.
