Madison College instructor receives Amy Award

Psychology instructor Nisa Giaquinto has a passion for self-care and wellness for women, but she felt like she wasn't making a difference with her peers. So, Nisa teamed up with a friend in hopes of creating a better world by supporting changemakers.

The two launched Zen Ed last fall and told Madison Magazine they hope to use their skill sets to bring positive psychology and wellness into schools, corporations and nonprofits that might not otherwise have the means to provide that kind of programming. Their work was honored with an Amy Award.

The Amy Awards are named in memory of Madison entrepreneur Amy Gannon and honor women who have overcome professional and personal challenges to be successful in their careers.
