WASHINGTON, DC – On June 20, Congressman Bryan Steil (WI-01) welcomed Wisconsin’s First District 2023 Artistic Discovery Contest winner, Ryannah Glassen, from Union Grove High School to Washington, DC. Ryannah and her mother came to Washington, DC for the 2023 Congressional Art Competition reception. Her self-portrait was unveiled in the United States Capitol. Her artwork will be displayed in the Capitol for one year.
“Congratulations, Ryannah! Each year, I am impressed to see the artwork that students submit for the Artistic Discovery Competition. Ryannah’s artwork now hangs in the halls of the United States Capitol. It was a pleasure to meet with Ryannah and her family for this special occasion," said Steil.
2023 Artistic Discovery Contest Winning Pieces from Wisconsin. The House of Representatives sponsors a national high school arts competition each spring. The Artistic Discovery Contest celebrates and promotes artistic talent across the nation and in our district. The winners of the Artistic Discovery Contest gathered today in the U.S. Capitol for a celebratory reception.
