The City of Janesville has extended the Woodman's Center Bid Schedule to allow more time for contractors to pursue questions / material substitutions. This will allow the design team to respond so everyone receives the same information.
The design team has issued the project's first addendum, which includes moving the bid opening from Wednesday, December 6, to Tuesday, December 19. This means the Council's consideration for the award of the contract will move from January 8, to January 22, 2024.
The schedule updates will not negatively impact the overall project completion date and will still allow occupancy of the facility late Summer 2025.
The online bid portal will be open for vBid by December 14, 2023. No Paper bids will be accepted.
Key Dates:
· December 19: Bid opening
· December 22: Staff memo due to city manager's office. All funding is to be outlined and secured at this time
· January 22: Council considers award of construction contract
The City is not seeking proposals on any furniture or non-construction-related items at this time. Quotes to pursue those items will likely take place second quarter of 2024 due to an immediate focus on getting the construction shop drawings approved and construction-related materials ordered, assuming the Council awards a construction contract.
