Janesville, Wisconsin - The School District of Janesville and the City of Janesville Parks and Recreation Divisions are inviting residents to enjoy a magical winter experience at the Janesville Schools Outdoor Lab (JSOL) Candlelight Hike. The event will take place on Friday, January 5th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Robert O. Cook Arboretum, also known as Park Place.

The JSOL Candlelight Hike offers an opportunity for families and friends to immerse themselves in the beauty of the outdoors on a winter night. The candlelit trails of the JSOL will guide participants through the serene winter landscape, creating a peaceful and enchanting atmosphere. Whether you prefer a leisurely stroll or an invigorating hike, this event caters to all levels of outdoor enthusiasts.

"The JSOL Candlelight Hike is a wonderful way to experience the tranquility of the winter season in our community," said John Doe, spokesperson for the School District of Janesville. "We encourage everyone to join us and enjoy this unique event with their loved ones."

During the hike, participants will have access to the park's shelter and log cabin, providing a cozy retreat from the winter chill. An outdoor fire pit will also be available for those who wish to warm up and gather around the fire. In addition, the Ice Age Trail Alliance-Rock County Chapter and Mocha Moment will be on hand to serve hot chocolate, adding to the overall enjoyment of the evening.

The JSOL Candlelight Hike is open house-style, allowing attendees to join at any time during the event. The hike is free and open to the public, with donations accepted to support the maintenance and improvement of the JSOL. This collaborative effort between the School District of Janesville, the City of Janesville Parks and Recreation Divisions, and the community organizations involved showcases the commitment to providing enriching experiences for residents.
