The City of Janesville Recreation Division is excited to announce that they will be hosting the popular Rec Nites program for local middle school students in January and February. This program is designed to provide sixth, seventh, and eighth graders with a fun and engaging evening of activities.
According to the Recreation Division, Rec Nites will include a variety of activities such as swimming, dancing, open gym, table games, prize raffles, and more. The events will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will require an admission fee of $7. Additionally, concessions will be available for purchase.
It is important to note that students can only attend Rec Nite at the school they are registered to attend. In order to participate, students will need to present their student IDs at the event check-in. However, the program is also open to home-schooled and parochial students. Parents or guardians of these students are advised to contact the Recreation Division to register their children and select the desired location.
The Middle School Rec Nites will take place on the following dates and locations:
- January 5 at Franklin Middle School
- January 12 at Edison Middle School
- January 26 at Marshall Middle School
- February 2 at Edison Middle School
- February 9 at Franklin Middle School
- February 16 at Marshall Middle School
The Recreation Division encourages parents or guardians to volunteer as chaperones during the Rec Nites. As a token of appreciation, children of these volunteers will receive free admission to the events.
