Janesville, WI - The Sustainable Janesville Committee has launched the Sustainable Janesville Awards program for 2024, inviting nominations from the community for businesses, community groups, and individual citizens who exemplify a dedication to environmental sustainability.

According to the committee, the program aims to recognize and celebrate innovation and leadership in sustainability within the City of Janesville. The winners of the award will be acknowledged as sustainability leaders in the community and will be revealed during the Janesville City Council meeting on Monday, September 23, at 6 p.m.

Individuals from the community are encouraged to put forward nominations for businesses, community groups, or citizens who have shown a strong commitment to environmental sustainability. Nominees must reside or own a business within the corporate limits of Janesville, with community groups being required to have their base in the city.

Those interested in submitting a nomination can do so by completing the online nomination form available on the Sustainable Janesville Awards Program page on the Janesville city's official website. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
