Steil announces town hall on border security impacts in Wisconsin

WASHINGTON (May 28, 2024) - Congressman Bryan Steil (WI-01) will host a Border Security Town Hall in Kenosha to discuss how the failure to secure the southern border is impacting Wisconsin communities. The event is free and open to the public.

“The failure to secure the border is impacting our families and our community,” said Steil. “I’m hosting a border security town hall to hear from attendees and discuss the challenges and policy solutions to secure the border now.”

The town hall will feature several notable speakers, including U.S. Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott (Retired), Kenosha County Executive Samantha Kerkman, Kenosha County Sheriff David Zoerner, and Theresa Newman of Sarah’s Hope and Recovery.

The event details are as follows:

- **Date:** Thursday, May 30th

- **Time:** 6:30-7:30 PM CT (Press may arrive at 6:00 PM CT)

- **Location:** Indian Trail High School, 6800 60th St., Kenosha, WI 53142

Following brief remarks from the speakers, the audience will have the opportunity to pose questions to the panel.

The event is open to both press and public. Press who wish to attend should RSVP to Chavonne Ludick.
