The City of Janesville's coordinated volunteer efforts continue to assist residents impacted by last Saturday's EF-2 tornado. As part of this response, the city has welcomed Team Rubicon to the community. This international non-profit organization deploys military veterans and first responders to disaster areas for emergency response and relief. Residents needing assistance can call the City's Emergency Operations Center at (608) 373-6025 to coordinate volunteer response.

Team Rubicon's volunteers are trained to provide immediate assistance, including debris clearing and other disaster response efforts. Alongside other resident volunteers and relief organizations, coordinated efforts will continue to help residents with debris clearance and other storm-related property maintenance.

The city, in partnership with Rock County Emergency Management and the American Red Cross of Southwest Wisconsin, will host a second Resource Event for affected residents on Tuesday, July 2, from 3 to 6:30 p.m. in the Beckman Mill Room at the Dr. Daniel Hale Williams County Resource Center (1717 Center Avenue).

Residents can find additional information on the city's storm response at janesvillewi.gov/news.
