Every day, hundreds of people across Wisconsin turn to 211 for information and support on a variety of complex issues such as utility assistance, housing, food, elder care, crisis intervention, alcohol, and more.

The Hedberg Public Library now has a 211 Kiosk available to browse local resources and find help. Each community resource listed includes a brief description, hours of operation, eligibility requirements, and contact information. Assistance with the kiosk is available at the service desk.

"211 is an extension of United Way with specialists able to connect residents with a wide range of resources and services," said a representative. "Contact 211 today to get expert, caring help with food, health care, housing and utilities payment assistance, employment services, veteran services, childcare, crisis and emergency counseling, disaster assistance, and more." It was noted that 211 operators offer help in more than 180 languages.

To get in contact with 211:

- Visit the library and use the new 211 Kiosk located near the self-check machines.

- Dial 211 from your cell phone or landline anywhere in Wisconsin. If you cannot reach them through 211, call (877) 947-2211.

- Search the 211 Database to find thousands of services across the state using Keyword, Guided or Advanced Searches.

For more information on the kiosk, contact the Hedberg Public Library at (608) 758-6600.
