Bryan Steil, who has represented Wisconsin’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, recently shared a series of updates on legislative priorities and local achievements via social media. Steil, a Janesville native and Georgetown University graduate with a JD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, highlighted congressional efforts to clarify regulations on digital assets and recognized community accomplishments.
On July 13, 2025, Steil addressed regulatory challenges facing American innovation. He stated that "American innovation has been stifled by unclear rules and regulations. This week, the House will bring clarity and American leadership to digital assets: Stablecoin Market Structure Stopping CBDC".
Later that day, Steil amplified remarks from another member of Congress regarding legislative action on digital asset policy. On July 13, 2025, he posted: "WATCH: Chairman @RepFrenchHill explains the need for the House to pass CLARITY and GENIUS this week."
On July 14, 2025, Steil congratulated a local high school alumnus for an achievement. He wrote: "A Milton High School alum! Congratulations, @GavinKilen".
Steil succeeded Paul Ryan in representing Wisconsin’s 1st District beginning in 2019. At age 42, he continues to reside in Janesville.
