Bryan Steil highlights GENIUS law signing and public support for work requirements

Bryan Steil, U.S. Congressman representing Wisconsin’s 1st district since 2019, recently highlighted legislative and policy developments in a series of posts on social media.

On July 18, 2025, Steil announced the enactment of new legislation with the message: "GENIUS has been signed into law! Exciting day and another step towards the future of finance. https://t.co/NIeJwIeYzM".

The following day, July 19, he posted about technological advancements in blockchain and decentralized technologies: "WATCH ‐ The future of Web3 is here and the House is delivering. https://t.co/LzFvl9EVY0".

On July 20, Steil addressed public support for work requirements in his home state: "Work requirements have 80% support in Wisconsin. Why? Because we know a job is the best path out of poverty. https://t.co/uMs8NXpsqU".

Steil was born in Janesville, Wisconsin in 1981 and continues to reside there. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He succeeded Paul Ryan as representative for Wisconsin’s 1st district after Ryan's departure from Congress in 2019.
