Cost of college went up for all students at First Class Cosmetology School

Tuition and fees rose 2.4 percent for 2018-19 at First Class Cosmetology School, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Wisconsin students paid $16,900 to attend the private for-profit school this year – $400 more than the $16,500 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 97 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 31 students received grants or scholarships totaling $143,781 and 33 students took out student loans totaling more than $204,836.

Including all undergraduates (63), 57 students used grants or scholarships totaling $253,870, and 62 students took out $407,619 in federal student loans.
