Blackhawk Offers Voluntary Vaccine Incentive Program

10

Blackhawk Technical College issued the following announcement on Sept. 14

Blackhawk Technical College is excited to announce a voluntary vaccine incentive program for currently enrolled Blackhawk students. Current BTC students who show proof of full vaccination status by October 1 will receive $250.

The voluntary vaccine incentive program is for fall 2021 enrolled GED, HSED, ELL, and credit-seeking BTC students. This includes high school students taking classes at a BTC location (RUHS, SBHS dual credit, and Start College Now students). Students in transcripted credit classes are not eligible for the voluntary incentive program.

To be eligible, BTC students must be fully vaccinated, meaning: single-dose of Johnson & Johnson/Janssen, two doses of Pfizer-BioNTech, OR two doses of Moderna.

Current BTC students should bring their COVID-19 Vaccine Card to the Registration and Records office on Central Campus or the front desks at AMTC or Monroe Campus for verification.

No vaccine card? No problem! Students can use one of the computers there to print out their vaccine records from the Wisconsin Immunization Registry (WIR).

The voluntary vaccine incentive program also applies to BTC employees who are working in fall 2021 and are actively employed at the time of reimbursement. BTC students who are also employed by BTC are only eligible for the student vaccine incentive. BTC employees who wish to participate should contact Human Resources.

At Blackhawk Technical College, the safety of our students, employees, and visitors is our top priority. Please note Blackhawk does not require vaccinations for our students or employees. Your vaccination status will not be a part of your student record or personnel file and is confidential. This incentive program is completely voluntary.

BTC students and their families are welcome to take advantage of the FREE DHS Community Vaccine Clinic at BTC. They accept walk-ins for ages 12 and up. Individuals under 18 will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. For more information about the COVID-19 vaccine, visit rockcountyshot.com.

We will continue to monitor the pandemic in cooperation with local, state, federal, and CDC guidelines and keep you informed of any changes to our pandemic response.

Thank you all for your consideration in taking part in this initiative to keep our campus community safe.
