Madison Area Technical College issued the following announcement on June 13.
Here's a way to get teens revved up this summer.
During the week of June 20, more than a dozen area middle school students will be participating in Madison College's first NitroX camp. Students will be doing activities that revolve around the transportation skilled trades, which include automotive, collision and heavy truck. They will also be fixing, servicing and operating gas-powered, remote-control race cars, like those that run at the Clark RC Park.
The highlight of the week will be Friday, June 24, when students race their cars at the Truax East Court parking lot. Driving practice begins at 9:30 a.m. followed by races at 10:30 a.m. Come out and cheer the students on.
