Chicago band Rod Tuffcurls & The Bench Press to perform on the grounds of the Lincoln-Tallman House

JANESVILLE—Chicago’s own Rod Tuffcurls & The Bench Press (RTBP) will lead a night of sounds and celebration when the School District of Janesville’s Delivering Bags of Hope program hosts its second concert fundraiser at 6:30 p.m. (gate opens at 6:00 p.m.) Thursday, Sept. 19, on the grounds of Janesville’s Lincoln-Tallman Museum (Rock County Historical Society), 426 N Jackson St, Janesville, WI 53548.

Tickets for the Sept. 19 show are $30 and are available online at https://e.givesmart.com/events/BWt/ and if not sold out, at the gate day of the concert.

RTBP, which dubs itself as a “peak experience band,” performs a mix of original music and popular covers that are sure to delight all music fans. In addition to having sold out Madison’s Majestic Theater multiple times, the band also performs regularly at the House of Blues in Chicago. In addition to enjoying and singing along to the engaging concert, attendees will be able to participate in a live auction. A cash bar will be available, and food from Janesville’s Back Yard BBQ will be available for purchase. Special VIP packages are available as well:

VIP Diamond: Enjoy a red carpet experience for eight people with early access, reserved table seating, meet & greet with the band, dinner, and wine service; or

VIP Gold: Enjoy a reserved table for eight people in the general admission area with sixteen drink tickets.

About Delivering Bags of Hope (DBOH): DBOH is a goodwill initiative involving hundreds of volunteers who gather to bag and deliver two weeks’ worth of groceries to fifty Janesville senior citizens and 350 of the district’s neediest families during winter break when children cannot rely on school meals. Initially conceived by workers at the Janesville General Motors plant nearly forty years ago, the storied program has been coordinated by School District of Janesville employees since GM closed its local plant in 2008.
